How guilt fucks with your Energy

And what to do about it
Guilt is an entirely unnecessary emotion that has the power to fuck with your Energy and magnify feelings of self doubt.
Once it's wormed its way into your life, evicting can be tricky.
It's almost like it has taken up residence in your body and your Energy. It could announce its presence on bad days as tightening in your chest, neck or jaw; a brain full of regret & overthinking; feeling emotionally on the edge or exhausted whilst your nervous system is on high alert (again!).
All that makes it feel very lonely in your busy life and a little disconnected from whatever the fuck you believe in.
How do I know this?
I lived in a cloud of guilt so thick that I truly didn't know any different. I'd say yes to shit I didn't want to do so I wouldn't have the feeling of letting people down, thereby adding to my already-heavy burden of guilt. I'd walk into a shop and be paranoid that people thought I was stealing stuff, which I have NEVER done in my life. If someone else was having a bad day I would assume that I had contributed to that in some way and hate myself for that imagined and unrealistic sense of responsibility.
My "guilt addiction" was closely tied to a very low self esteem which created an Energy draining response of overgiving, overexplaining and overfunctioning.
If you have been afflicted by guilt too, you know exactly how that feels. You might feel stuck, tense, embarrassingly reactive or quietly exhausted.

How to Release Guilt (Without Overanalysing It)
You don’t need to unpack your entire childhood or find someone or something to blame.
Try this:
👀 Notice the feeling when it comes up, without judging it. Passive
observation is such a useful method to shift your perspective and
change the way you react
🙋♀️ Ask yourself honestly if you’ve actually done harm or if you've fallen
back into old habits of blaming yourself for shit you can't control
🌬️ Breathe all the way out slowly and consciously relax your body. Don't expect to feel complete relief; whichever parts of you unwind a bit can be thanked for their effort to realign you
Now that you're feeling a little less overwhelmed by guilt, remind yourself that you're allowed to feel relieved, calm and ready to shine in your own unique ways.
If guilt has been sitting in your system for years (decades???) you might need a bit of a jump-start for shifting it and getting your Energy flowing in positive and abundant ways.
