Ever feel like life’s moving so fast, you’re constantly running on empty? For busy souls, it’s easy to get caught up in a cycle of burnout where everything feels harder than it should. But here’s the thing - clearing your Energy doesn’t have to mean taking hours out of your day. In fact, small, simple practices can make a massive difference in helping you feel recharged, calm and more like yourself again.
In this blog, I’ll guide you through practical Energy clearing techniques that fit right into your busy life. These methods help sweep away the stagnant Energy that drags us down and make space for you to feel vibrant, centred and ready to tackle whatever’s next.
1. Morning Grounding Ritual
Why it works: Grounding yourself in the morning helps set a calm and balanced tone for the day, ensuring you're centred before diving into your busy schedule.
How to do it: Take just one minute to stand barefoot (if you can but with shoes or socks on is fine too) with your feet flat on the floor. Visualise roots extending from your feet deep into the Earth, connecting you to the grounding and nurturing Energy below. Breathe deeply, imagining fresh, revitalising Energy moving up through those magical roots and into your entire body.
Pro tip: Repeat an affirmation in your head, like “I am grounded, balanced and ready to receive positive Energy today”.
2. Diffuse Essential Oils for a Quick Energy Shift
Why it works: Essential oils can clear stagnant Energy and create a balanced atmosphere. Oils like peppermint, lemon and eucalyptus lift Energy, while others such as lavender and cedarwood ground and calm. There are many others that have their own vibe too.
How to do it: Add a few drops of an uplifting essential oil to a diffuser. If you’re on the go, mix a drop or two into some base oil (such as coconut or olive oil) and dab onto your wrists or add a drop into your palms, rub them together and inhale deeply. There are many pre-blended options available from Woo Woo stores, health food shops and chemists. CAUTION: Don't put unblended essential oils directly on your skin.
Suggested blend: Try peppermint and lemon together for a refreshing Energy boost. For calming, try lavender and cedarwood.
3. Micro-Meditation Breaks (Just 3 Minutes!)
Why it works: These short pauses help you reconnect with your body and breathe out any stress or frustration that builds up during the day.
How to do it: Set a timer for three minutes (or only one if that's all you can manage), close your eyes and focus solely on your breathing. If thoughts arise, let them pass by without judgment and return to the breath. Visualise each exhale releasing any tension or stuck Energy.
When to do it: Between tasks, meetings or at any point in the day when you feel frazzled or overwhelmed.
4. Refresh Your Space with a Cleansing Spray
Why it works: Using a cleansing spray can instantly shift the Energy around you, whether at home, in your car or at the office.
How to do it: Create a simple cleansing spray with water, a few drops of peppermint and lemon oil and a dash of vodka or vinegar (to help oils mix). Misting bottles of all varieties are available at most discount shops (glass is best). Lightly mist your workspace, car or home whenever you feel tension or cluttered Energy.
Pro tip: Keep a small spray bottle in your bag so you can refresh the space around you wherever you go.
5. Quick Visualisation for Energy Protection
Why it works: Visualisations create a subtle but powerful Energetic boundary, helping you maintain your Energy even when surrounded by others’ emotions or stresses.
How to do it: Close your eyes and imagine a warm, golden light around your body. Picture it as a protective bubble that lets in only positive Energy. Visualise this light staying with you throughout the day, deflecting any negativity you might encounter.
Daily mantra: “I am surrounded by light and positive Energy and I release anything that doesn’t serve me”.
6. Evening Wind-Down: Salt Bath or Salt Rub
Why it works: Salt is excellent for grounding and clearing any heavy or draining Energy you’ve picked up throughout the day.
How to do it: If you have time for a bath, add 1 cup of rock, epsom or magnesium salts and a few drops of lavender oil. Soak for 15-20 minutes to release tension. For a quicker option, mix a bit of salt with a few drops of olive oil and a drop of your favourite essential oil and rub it on your hands or feet, then rinse off with warm water.
Pro Tip: Add the oil to the epsom salts before you put them in the water so they blend in properly. Otherwise the oil droplets will just float on the surface of the water and be less effective.
Alternative: If neither is possible, imagine a “shower of light” washing over you before bed, removing any negativity or residual stress.
Small Shifts, Big Changes
Clearing your Energy doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. By weaving these quick, intentional practices into your routine, you’ll feel a deeper sense of balance, clarity and calm that supports your busy life.
Enjoy experimenting with these methods until you find the one/s that work best for you!
