USING AROMATHERAPY FOR HEALING

Updated: Feb 24, 2022

I have always been into Aromatherapy, even before I realised how Woo Woo I really was. It was something I was very drawn to.

When I first became aware of Aromatherapy, I was a teenager selling Aromatherapy Oils through a company that sold perfume. Unbeknown to me at the time, I intuitively knew which oils to blend together and I could sell them like hotcakes!

So, it’s safe to say, Aromatherapy has been in my life for a long time and I absolutely love it.

There are so many different ways in which you can use Aromatherapy Oils. I have personally used them to replace all my cleaning products so I don’t have any harsh chemicals in my house. Good quality Aromatherapy Oils have Antibacterial and Antiviral properties, so they work a treat for cleaning.

When one of my sons was little, he used to get very itchy painful skin rashes. I was intuitively guided to replace the washing power I was using to wash his clothes, with my own homemade mixture using Aromatherapy Oils. His skin

It’s a very simple recipe:

1 x 1kg box of Bicarb Soda

3 x Soup spoons of Eucalyptus Oil (cleaning grade)

2 x Soup spoons of Tea Tree Oil (cleaning grade)

2 x Soup Spoons of Lavender Oil (cleaning grade)

1 x Soup Spoon of Peppermint Oil (cleaning grade) - optional

Aromatherapy Oils are definitely something I use regularly for Energy work.

Anyone who has had a healing with me, will know I use Aromatherapy Oils during the session. I will put the oils on a folded tissue inside an eye pillow, which my client will wear. I’m usually drawn to using a mixture of different oils, because the actual blending of the oils is the really important part.

Mixing two or more oils together is called synergy. It uses the different properties from each oil and when mixed together creates something very powerful, something a lot stronger and more potent than if used individually.

When choosing which particular oils to use on each client, I will always use my Pendulum to choose for me. I have dozens of different oils in a box and after I’ve tuned into my client, I will hold the Pendulum over the oils and let the Energy of my client choose the oils. The Pendulum is always spot on with choosing the exact specific type of oils the client needs during their Healing.

Personally, my Aromatherapy Bible is a book called ‘Amazing Scents’ by Jennifer Jefferies. It’s written in a really simple language and tells you which Chakra each oil connects to. It explains the difference between ‘high note’ oils and ‘low note’ oils. ‘High notes,’ being oils like Citrus oils, Lemon, Grapefruit and Lime. And ‘low notes,’ being oils like Woody oils, Rosewood, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Valerian. And then the ‘middle note’ oils being Rose, Geranium, Ylang Ylang and flower type oils.

How the oils work with us at an Energetic level is all about blending them together so you have the maximum amount of Synergy. If you are just starting out as a beginner, probably best to not mix more than 3 – 4 oils together, as they can get a bit over the top.

The best quality oils to use for Energy work are ‘first distillation’ oils. These oils are made when steam is used in the distillation process to extract the aromatic compounds and so it can make them quite expensive. But they are absolutely worth it!

I personally buy my oils from ‘Sydney Essential Oils Company’ who are based in Berwick in Melbourne. www.seoc.com.au They sell both retail and wholesale.

You can also find some good quality oils in your local Chemist. Try not to buy the cheap ones - a good quality Lavender oil should cost anywhere between $23 -$28. Don’t be tempted to buy Lavender oil for $5!

One of the easiest ways to use Aromatherapy Oils is to put them in your diffuser and let the scent drift throughout your house. But if you want to physically apply Aromatherapy Oils to yourself or someone else, make sure you don’t put them directly onto your skin. They are extremely potent (can be poisonous) and should always be used with a carrier oil to be diluted first.

Some examples of carrier oils are Sweet Almond oil, Macadamia oil, Camellia oil, Rose hip Oil, Jojoba oil, Grapeseed oil and Olive oil. I even take my Aromatherapy Oils as part of my first aid kit for when I go camping. They are great for mosquito/bug bites as they draw out the heat and reduce the itch. They are also great to use if you’ve pulled a muscle.

Another way to use Aromatherapy Oils is in a spray bottle. This is great for cleansing and clearing the Energy in your house, business, car, even yourself or your family members. For clearing stagnant Energy, I would mix all the Beautiful High vibe oils together like Grapefruit, Lemon, Peppermint and Orange.

Oils like Chamomile, Sandalwood and Vetiver are great for calming the Energy in the house, particularly if something has happened in your family home which may have given everyone a bit of a shock. Or in the lead up to a big event when everyone is really excited, these oils are perfect to help calm everyone down.

When using the spray bottles, fill the bottle with the purest water you can find. Distilled water is great, but filtered fridge water is fine too. You’ll also need about one to two table spoons of vodka and then approximately 25 drops of oil. When you’re making your own spray bottle, it’s a really great way to personalise the Energy and vibration that you’re creating.

You can also use Aromatherapy Oils in the bath. I like to mix about a quarter of a cup of Bicarb Soda, a half to one cup of Epsom salts or (Himalayan Sea Salt) and approximately 10 – 12 drops of oil. If you just drop oils directly into your bath, they will only float on top of the water and will not really work at all. Yes, you will smell them, but you won’t be getting the full effect of their use. You won’t be integrating with them Energetically.

Another great way to use Aromatherapy Oils is in Roller bottles. I usually mix them up and give them as gifts. When I run retreats and workshops, I give them as personalised gifts for each client. I’ll tune into the Energy of the person and make each blend unique to them.

Another terrific way to use Aromatherapy Oils (anyone who has hugged me will know I do this because I always smell nice) is as a hair conditioner. As curly, dry hair can be difficult to tame, a great de-frizzing solution is to mix a small amount of conditioner (about the size of a twenty-cent coin) with some Aromatherapy oils and simply rub it through damp washed hair.

I also love using Aromatherapy Oils before I host a party or gathering. I particularly love to use a blend of Peppermint, Lemon and Orange oils. Before the guests arrive, I’ll either put them in a diffuser to get the fragrance filling the house, or I’ll mop the floor with them to really spread the scent around. Those specific oils blended together, really creates the most Beautiful, loving, happy, bright vibe and the party goes off!

These are some of my absolute favourite Aromatherapy Oils;

Grapefruit

A very high vibe oil, fantastic for clearing Energy for yourself, your house, your car or your business.

Rose

A Beautiful oil for Healing as it’s connected to the Heart Chakra. It’s really good for increasing your sense of self-worth and removing self-doubt.

Cinnamon

An Awesome oil for cleaning. It’s a very high vibe, high Energy, warming oil, which melts away any defence around the heart. Also great for any muscle injuries. Don’t forget to always mix it with a carrier oil first.

Peppermint

A very high vibe oil. Great for parties and fun!

Frankincense

Another very high vibe oil. Great for using during meditation and helping you tune into your Crown Chakra.

Please be aware of pet sensitivity to the Aromatherapy Oils. Some dogs cannot stand the smell of certain oils.

I am absolutely obsessed with Aromatherapy Oils and could talk about them for hours. How I work with the oils and how the Energy of the oils works with my clients is just Amazing! The difference they make to my clients is incredible.

I would highly recommend learning more about Aromatherapy Oils because whatever way we can increase our capacity to connect into the Woo Woo is always going to be Awesome!

Love & Abundance
